More Beach Time and a Fish Fry

Friday was a late start day, again. I love those. It's so nice to not have to get up and get moving to be somewhere early. Michael got up about 9:30 and the rest of us had been up a little less than an hour. It was not really a good sleeping night, though. We got "new neighbors" in the unit above us and they are very noisy. There were kids yelling well after midnight and then again before 6:00 am. Not to mention, it sounded like they were moving furniture most of the evening before midnight. How many times do you need to scoot a chair across the floor?

Our beach seemed much clearer today, but it was decided we'd go over to MIL and FIL's beach again this morning. When we got there it was very gunky again. MIL said that earlier in the morning it was clear but the algae had come back in, but the jelly fish seemed to be less abundant.

We ate lunch in MIL and FIL's condo before we actually spent time on the beach. It was just lunch meat sandwiches, but it was good. We also had crab salad and potato salad, too. There were also plums and apples and grapes. It was a good lunch.

Michael and I pretty much stayed under the umbrella. Michaela spent most of the time playing in the sand, building a sand castle. Caleb jumped around in the waves. It was a very laid back afternoon. I got about 2 chapters of my book read.

MIL and FIL took the kids up to the pool when we had about 1/2 an hour left to be in the water. Michael and I stayed on the beach under the umbrella. It was very nice to just sit there with my husband.

Around 3:00 pm we left and came back to our condo to get cleaned up because we were supposed to go over to Jeremy and Kelly's condo for a fish fry/ shrimp boil. It ended up being later than that because there was an accident on the bridge between Destin and Fort Walton and Kelly and Jeremy could not get back to their condo from the fish market.

The evening was fun. Kelly's brother and his wife and little girl had come in from Texas for the weekend. Their little girl is only 2 and a little spit fire. She's so funny! And, she's just a little cutie pie with all these adorable curls.

I enjoyed the shrimp and Michael said the fish was really good. It was nice to get to talk to Anne (Kelly's SIL) and get to know her some. Kelly's brother is a wild man, but funny.

After eating we went outside. MIL and I sat at the pool with Michaela so she could swim. Everyone else went out on the beach to play wiffle ball. FIL got two home runs. He really enjoyed himself.

We all hung out around the pool while all the kids played in the pool until around 9:00 pm. Then, we came back to our condo. The kids went to bed and I was going to do a load of laundry, but the washer was busy. So, we just went to bed. We had to get up early the next morning to be at the boat dock because we were all going to go out on a pontoon boat for a few hours.

I hope the people upstairs don't bother you for the whole stay!
