Destin seems to be a popular place to vacation. It gets very busy in the summer time. I really had never heard of it until Michael's parents started going there every year several years ago. It is a beautiful place. The sand is sugar white and very soft. The water is super clear. You can stand in it up to your chest and still see your feet. Looking out over the water it is emerald green and turns to turquoise and dark blue. Destin is located in the panhandle of Florida. This means it's beaches are in The Gulf of Mexico.
